How this 3D flight tracker works
Flights in 3D is a free live 3D flight tracker and plane tracker. It shows aircraft on a globe at their actual altitudes, not as dots on a flat map.
Live positions
The tracker reads public ADS-B position reports from community aggregators, then draws each aircraft on a 3D globe. Positions refresh every few seconds. Coverage is densest where more ground receivers exist — typically around busy airports and populated regions.
Data is proxied through this site so browsers do not hit those aggregators directly. Sources, in failover order, are adsb.fi, airplanes.live, and adsb.lol.
Why 3D
Most flight radars flatten traffic onto a 2D map. This plane tracker places each flight at its reported altitude so you can see climb, cruise, and descent in space. Click an aircraft for the path this server has recorded for it (up to about six hours). Hover for callsign and basic info. Search by callsign, ICAO hex, or registration.

No account and no app install. It runs in the browser. A device with WebGL works best.
